Blogs ugggh

Lately I have been in a blog slump…I say and think this as I am writing a blog…interesting. I am just finding it difficult latley to even take the time to blog. Do you ever feel like blogs become more of a hinderance on your life instead of a help? Latley I really have taken a step back and assessed how I spend my time and really evaluate the importance of each day. I think blogging is a great tool and a great way to document your personal/business life, but to be honest lately…I hate blogging. No I am not going on strike, I am just venting my feelings and I am sure the feeling is mutual with some of you other bloggers out there. And yes I do realize I will be brought back under the blog world spell..soon and very soon…

Weekend Wrap Up

-I realize my blogs are struggling…my life is strange right now…even though I am home all day…My blog never is done!

-Weekend was a great one!

-Friday went to See Indiana Jones 4…I suggest you do not see it…Something about a UFO flying out of an ancient ruin at the end…go figure…blah

- Hung out all day saturday with my wifey…then went to bbq with my family and friends

-Sunday rocked…lets just be honest…Northwaychurch.tv Clifton Park…we love to worship….I feel honored to do what I do every weekend..what a God I serve

-Another BBQ with this dude on Sunday Night

-Monday Went up to lake George and kicked it all day…my big purchase of the day at the outlets…two pairs of banana republic socks….yes I am becoming very old

-Have a great week…cannot wait for June 22nd (One church in One location ) Wooohoo strange to say it that way

Weekend Wrap Up…My blog schedule is messed up…

-Friday went out to with my parents and wifey to celebrate my new job @ this place

-Got to go out with some friends and went golfing early in the morning. We played best ball and teams of two, we tied after 18 holes of golf.

-Sunday was blast…it was mothers day and our church was alive, great services @ CP.

-Went out to Pancho’s to eat some Mexican food with Shell, My parents, Shells parents and the rest of our extended family (11 total)

-I am home all week, this is fantastic

-transitioning to a new job

-Building a sweet patio at our place

-Updates on this patio soon, almost finished, it is the reason my blog life is non existent.

Mountain Biking

Tuesday Night I had the privilege to get out on my trek mountain bike and hit the trails. There is nothing like taking your bike out and just kickin’ it through the woods. At times while biking through the woods, it felt as if I was completely alone in the woods. It was an awesome feeling.

I think it is essential for us as humans just to escape to a quiet place, a place of solitude and peace. It is a type of escape you can rarely find in the world we live in. We are constantly rushing around and making our next move. Sometimes you have to get away and forget about everything. This past Tuesday was exactly what I needed in life. A simple 1 hour bike ride through God’s creation. How do you escape? What do you do to recharge? Are you taking time out of your week to get away from the daily ins and outs?

Weekend Wrap Up

-Had dinner @ Wheatfields in Saratoga…One of our favs

-Saturday finished up my taxes that were sent back due to turbo tax’s error of leaving out my w2…sheesh

-Also bought a new Claiborne suit for my new job…(oh yea by the way I got a new job, I start May 16th!)

-Shell and I realize we have a small addiction to being out shopping, may seem strange to hear it but I tend to like going out and shopping with my wife…and she loves me for it lol.

-Stayed in Saturday Night and got pizza from Pizza works…soooo good

-Sunday we had church…got to rock out with this dude for the first time ever on a weekend…he will be a guitar genius in the years to come.

-Had United Sunday night as well! ——————–>

Understanding God’s Will

I am currently reading the book “Understanding God’s Will” by Kyle Lake.

Understanding God’s Will is about redefining the concept of God’s will and focusing less on the destination and more on the journey. It takes some of the stress out of the big decisions in life and gives us hope in times of greatest tragedy. And it might just give you a better understanding of God.

Great read…should pick it up…or borrow it from me as soon as I wrap it up

Weekend Wrap Up

-Rocked out Separate Ways by Journey

-Had a great time with my wife, Snide (Our Drummer) and Book(Media MAN!) on Friday@Fridays…threw down food…like we always do

-I had Humpty Dumpty soft serve ice cream, Starbucks frappucino, and Coldstone Birthday cake remix ice cream all within 6 hours of each other on Saturday….oh yea I was hurting

-Sunday was ridiculous @ Northwaychurch.tv Clifton Park. As I am actually sitting in the 10 am service (rare occasion), one of our camera men passes out and is flat out on the floor. A gasp fills the room, followed by commotion and a scramble to make sure he is ok. Turns out he locked his knees and blacked out for a second. Craig (the camera guy) who is also 6 foot 7, said while on the floor and I quote “Just put cones around me.” meaning ignore me and don’t worry about it, with a bit of humor. Hillarious. In the mean time another lady across the room passes out from the anxiety of the situation, and people come running down the aisle shouting “Pastor Buddy, we have another one!” People are now frantic and rumors start of carbon monoxide and other absurdities, people are jetting out of the auditorium requesting their children and leaving the building. Medics now enter the scene as a precaution and tend to the people who were needing care. Needless to say we simply closed up that service with a last song and released everyone. Everyone, Craig included, is fine and there are no worries! What a day!
