People in Parking Lots
I write this post in irritation…irritation with a nation of people (Specifically NY people) that believe it is ok to be ignorant….Let me explain…
I for one have a great job (as of right now), I spend hours a day in my car before and after sales calls. I spend hours in parking lots each and every week. So, one day I was chilling in my car after a sales call working on my lap top making post call notes and such. As I am sitting in my 2008 Impala (provided by my company…yes awesome)…A car pulls in and parks fairly close to me….the passenger of this car then opens up his door while having a full blown conversation with the driver of the car, so he wasn’t looking. Needless to say he slams his door right into the side of my car…now let me add…this is not just a soft touch…this is A SLAM…basically shaking my entire car. At this point I expect that fine young strapping fellow to knock on my window and say sorry or at least acknowledge his mistake. Much to my dismay…no such luck…he walks away and continues on with his day…Unbelievable!
This is only one occasion of two…I had the same thing happen to me just last week…granted it was a very old lady…I mean she was old…look at her…shes too old (Movie reference…2 blog hits for the correct answer
of the movie title).
I am amazed at the amount of people who are just lets say rude…Maybe I should invest in a Pops-a-Dent
Has anyone else experienced this or do I have just bad luck?
You are not alone. Vince would park his car so far away from other cars for that same reason, but he still got whacked twice. RRRR!!!
We feel your pain!
I have experienced it…several times! Maybe as reps we’re more prone to actually catch people in the act since we spend soooo many hours sitting in parking lots.
People who talk on cell phones while driving. We’re all guilty of it from time to time. But I’m referring to people who are oblivious to the world around them while doing it. Have you waved someone on through an intersection, only to realize their not paying attention because they’re talking on the phone?
for sure…I am guilty of that..
