I love these guys

Every weekend, I get to experience worship and God in different ways. I always have a great team behind me leading the way in music and worship. I love these guys, they are the best, full of energy and dedication. We are all brought together for one purpose, one cause; to serve and to glorify God. What a privilege, what an honor it is. I am learning how important it is to have a grounded, positive and encouraging team behind you.(picture shown only displays half of my team).

The point is I am so appreciative of the team God has placed around me. Everyone with different backgrounds and all have different stories. Every weekend my goal is to not only worship but worship joyfully with the team God has placed around me. Thank you everyone for your hard work, dedication and encouragement.

Valentines weekend

My wife and I Michelle, celebrated our first valentines day together as a married couple last weekend. It was Amazing. I love my wife so much. You are the best Shell and you have a great sense of humor!
Haha love this picture, shrimp cocktail drinks baby!

We had Shell’s brother and his wife over for a gourmet meal, which my wife prepared. It included NY Strip steak, asparagus, shrimp cocktail, mashed potatoes and so much more you would not believe. I am officially that fat married guy. Shell is becoming quite the little cook (I will blog on this later). Anyways on to the good stuff, I surprised shell and told her later that night that I had taken the next day off of work and we were going away. There is nothing quite like a weekend escape with your wife. It is one of those things that is essential to keep the relationship fresh. We say around here date your mate….and date we do. I strive to make life exciting and a surprise for my wife.

Our little a getaway included a one night stay at our very own cabin, I had rented out in the Adirondacks. Fully furnished with a hot tub and fireplace of course. Shell Was stoked. We had a great night together in our little cozy cabin. Just an all around great time and we spent a lot of time talking and laughing together.

The next morning we woke up and hit the slopes at whiteface mt. It was a great finish to our valentines weekend.

Jamming down the slopes…Go shell Go!

Note: at the end of this video (which is not shown), I wrecked myself but salvaged the camera.

Are you dating your mate? Are you putting as much effort into your relationship; as you once did when you first started dating? Go the extra mile, you cannot put a price tag on a strong and God centered relationship. You can’t afford not to date! Celebrate your relationship every day of your life. What a difference a weekend truely together can make. I feel like we just started dating again. The sparks are flying!

Thankful

Last night I had one of those moments…you know one of those times that felt like you just looked at your life from another persons point of view. I was shocked at what I saw. God has given me so much to be thankful for. A beautiful and talented wife and a life that is so full of passion and fun! I have times where i hit highs and lows…I am trying to balance that out. Because when I am down…I am really down…and when I am high…the sky is the limit. I think there is a balance needed to a certain extent. I have learned to come to God with everything. and to plug into his word. My wife and I are reading the bible every night (first time in my life) and it is so amazing the transformation God is bringing. I really think 08 will be a year of change especially internally. What an awesome God we serve, what an awesome life we can lead. Never underestimate the power of your personal influence. I am so thankful for everything and everyone placed around me in my life. When you take time to look from an outsiders perspective…wow how life changes. Take a moment every day to do this and focus on the positive things. Then sit back and watch all the negative disappear. Besides our lives are short and we have to appreciate every moment. How thankful are you?
